    Sent my resignation in.

We had a system outage 2 days ago. When it came back, it reported that we were sold out. I told ownership. Well it turns out the system glitched and we weren't. After NA, a room showed back up (it wasn't in OOO or anywhere...it was gone gone). Ownership found this

out and berated me because I said we sold out and we didn't in reality. Ownership wanted me to email to explain why we weren't sold out. So, I sent an email saying "prior to the outage, myself and another person on

property, looked on two systems, to make sure we were balanced on rooms available, etc. and the outage ended up happening. When the outage resolved, there was no rooms available. to sell (assuming someone picked remaining rooms up) and I had informed you all that it was sold out."

I didn't receive a response. Today, my boss told me that ownership wants me to hand write why and what I can do better next time as well as sign it so it will go in my file. So I was being reprimanded for a system outage and apparently have the power to prevent system outages from happening again.

So I told my immediate boss, that I wasn't going to be doing that and went to my email to send in my resignation. While I don't have anything lined up, I have decided to give them until the end of next month, though if I were to find something before then, I'll leave

bare minimum, I refuse to be treated like a child. One person leaves tomorrow, others are on their way out. They can't hire anyone, they've been trying for months. I hope the hotel fails. truthfully. The annual audit is coming up at some point this year...I'm thinking

about reaching out to the audit team and sharing the state of the hotel so they can get the audit moved up sooner rather than later and fail the property.

With all the people leaving, and the apparent 'god complex' of the owners, the audit outcome will be pretty much 'the same' sooner, or later.

cometview • 14h ago You're resigning with more than 6 weeks of notice?? That seems crazy. Either give the standard 2 weeks or, if you want to wait until you have a new gig (or they miraculously improve), then wait to submit the resignation until 2 weeks before you plan to leave.

Or just summarily quit with no notice. Giving 2 weeks is a professional courtesy, not a law. You won't get a good reference if you quit suddenly, but if you don't need it, then don't sweat it.

The list is endless but due to my mobility issues and the fact that I can sit down when I'm unable to stand is the ONLY reason I'm still there. Just do us all a favor, and document everything from here on out because I feel that they'll retaliate against you.
